Cookie Policy
This cookie policy explains what cookies are, which ones Roffle uses, and how you can manage your preferences. For a full picture of how we handle your personal data, please also read our Privacy Policy.
- What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser or device when you visit. Cookies allow a site to remember information between page loads. For example, that you are signed in.
Cookies are not programmes and cannot carry viruses or access files on your computer. You can control them through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies may affect how Roffle works.
- Cookies we set
Roffle sets three cookies directly. All are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be turned off.
- roffle-session This cookie keeps you signed in and stores your basket between page loads. Without it you would be logged out on every navigation. It expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
- roffle-csrf This cookie protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. It ensures that form submissions on Roffle originate from our own pages and not a malicious third-party site.
- roffle-consent This cookie stores your preferences regarding optional cookies. Without it, you would see a cookie consent prompt on every visit, should you choose to reject all cookies.
- Cookies set by third parties
Some third-party services we use may set their own cookies. We only integrate services that meet a genuine operational need, and we have described each one below.
- Stripe (payment processing)
When you proceed to checkout, Stripe, our payment processor, loads its payment form on our page. As part of this, Stripe sets two cookies on your device to help detect fraudulent transactions:
- __stripe_mid A persistent identifier used by Stripe for fraud prevention across sessions.
- __stripe_sid A short-lived session identifier used by Stripe during an active checkout session.
These cookies are only set when you open the payment page. They are necessary for us to securely accept payments and are set under our legal basis of contract performance. You can read more on Stripe's own Privacy Policy page.

- Analytics cookies
We plan to use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use Roffle so we can improve the site. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal data. It does not track you across other websites, does not use browser fingerprinting, and is fully compliant with GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the PECR.
Even though no cookies are involved, we still give you the option to opt out of analytics data collection through our cookie preferences banner. If you opt out, no usage data about your visit will be counted.
- Managing your cookie preferences
When you visit Roffle for the first time, a banner will appear at the bottom of the page. You can choose to accept all cookies, or click Customise to review each category and save your preferences. You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your cookies or contacting us.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- view and delete existing cookies;
- block third-party cookies;
- block all cookies from specific sites; or
- block all cookies from being set.
Please be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing a purchase on Roffle.
- Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date below. We encourage you to check back periodically.
This policy was last reviewed in April 2026.
